Who We are

StL3, Inc. (formerly known as St. Louis Leather and Lace), is a group dedicated to the free expression of alternative lifestyles and forms of loving.  Located in St. Louis, Missouri, the group was formed in 1997 to meet the needs of a growing BDSM community in the St. Louis metropolitan area.  The membership of STL3 consists of couples and individuals from across the socioeconomic spectrum.  We do not discriminate based on age, race, religion, sexual orientation, religious preference, or chosen lifestyle.  The only standards which group members must adhere to is that activities practices must be "safe, sane, and consensual".

StL3 is neither a swingers group nor a dating service, and we are not a haven for voyeurs.  We are a private, educational organization which strives to enhance the abilities and understanding of our members through an ongoing series of educational articles, seminars, and workshops.  The seminars and workshops address advanced BDSM topics and other material of interest to our membership.  For those people who have recently discovered an interest in the BDSM Lifestyle or seeking information on how to get started, we highly recommend the St. Louis Chapter of PEP (People Exchanging Power).

StL3 hosts scheduled events open to all members.  These events run the gamut from discussion groups, "play parties", and holiday members-only munches which are "vanilla" social gatherings.  StL3 also hosts monthly social munches which are "open to the public".   In addition, StL3 puts on "Beat Me In St. Louis", an annual 3 day, spring gathering of BDSM lifestylers from around the country which provides an opportunity to mix and mingle with others who have similar interests, "Kink-O-Rama", which provides vendors who carry products relevant to the lifestyle the opportunity to bring their products to attendees, and "Spanksgiving", a regional, 2 day, fall gathering for those that want to get "warmed up" for the holiday season.

Membership in StL3 is by invitation only.  Due to the nature of the group activities in which it is involved, membership is offered only to those who have shown a genuine commitment to the BDSM lifestyle and who will contribute positively to the group.  Although StL3 membership is not strictly limited to those living in the St. Louis metropolitan area, it is generally offered only to those who are local or visit the St. Louis metropolitan area enough to participate in group activities on a consistent basis.
